ブログ第３９０弾です。

先日、娘と会話しているとやはり受験勉強が大変なようでした。
人間誰でも得意不得意はあると思います。
しかし、一生懸命頑張っているんだよと声をかけてくれました。
第一希望が一番初めのテストらしく、一発合格で食事に連れて行ってくれと言っていました。
その言葉が親としてものすごく嬉しかったです。

さて、先週に続きシンガポールでのお話をしたいと思います。
シンガポールにいる間、シンガポール港を見学しました。
説明によると、シンガポール港は上海に続き世界第二位の港で
テクノロジーを駆使していろんなサービスを提供しているようです。
広大な港でしたが、数年後には西の方に移転してこの港の跡地にリゾートができるそうです。
やはりやることがダイナミックだなと思いました。
建国約６０年の国ですが、こういった変化対応力が成長の証のように感じました。
日本では考えられない、決断だと感じました。
最終日は、祝日でもあってゴルフをしました。
天気は生憎でしたが、ゴルフ場をとってくれたシンガポーリアンの方たちと懇親ができて良かったです。
ベトナムに出資された会社さんも相手の家に呼ばれるくらい、
親密にならないと海外ではダメと仰っていました。

やはり海外いるともっと積極性が必要と感じました。
枠に捕らわれないと言いますか、発想が豊かで実行も早いです。
英語力の向上もさることながらこういった文化も学んで実行に移していきたいです。

先週はそんな週でした。

Blog No. 390th “Overseas Business Trip 2”

Hello everyone, this is the 390th episode of my blog.

The other day, when I was talking with my daughter, she was studying very hard for her exam.
Everyone has both strength and weakness.
However, she said “I will do my best.”
It seems that her first exam is her first-choice school.
If she passes, she told me to take her to a good restaurant.
I was very happy to hear her words as her parent.

Now, following last week, I will talk to everyone about Singapore topics.
While staying in Singapore, I toured a port there.
According to the explanation, the port is the second-largest port in the world after Shanghai.
They offered a variety of services with their technology.
Though it was a huge port, it will move to the west side in Singapore in a few years.
A resort is going to be built on the site of this port.
I also thought their way is dynamic.
Though the country was established about 60 years ago, I felt their ability to adapt to change is proof of growth.
It was a decision that would have been unthinkable in Japan.
The last day was also a holiday.
We played golf.
The weather was very bad.
I had a good relationship with some Singaporeans who booked the golf course.
One who also invested in Vietnam, said that it is no good overseas unless you are so close that you are invited to the other party’s home.

After all, I felt we need more aggressive factors in foreign countries.
I would say that we are out of the box.
They are full of ideas and quick to execute.
I would like to execute and learn such a culture rather than just improve my English skill.

This week was a week of these thoughts.
