みなさんこんにちは
ブログ第４１１弾です。
先日、朝ジムに行ってトレーニングを行いました。
その後、久しぶりにあるハンバーガーストアのドライブスルーに行きました。
そのお店は最近家の近くにできました。
ドライブスルーも２列あって、注文をしやすい感じでした。
一台、注文をしていたので、後ろに並ばずに隣のレーンに行きました。
待っても注文を取ってくれず、隣の一台が注文を終えると、
店の人が申し訳ありません。少し待ってくれませんか？と言われ、わかりましたと返事をしました。
その後注文を行い、お金を払う場所まで移動すると
また、店の窓から出てきて、またお待ちください。と言われました。
その後、商品を貰うまで少し時間がかかりましたが
また謝罪を言われて、私は良い気分で買う事ができました。
人が少ないことは問題だったかもしれませんが、適切なタイミングでの言葉は私にとって良い印象でした。
さて、先週、会長が家族をご飯に招待してくれました。
孫たちにいろいろ教えていきたいとも言ってくれていました。
創業時のお話や、経営者としての心構え、質素倹約、数字に強くなる事、
ご自身の永きに渡って大切にしてきた考えや経験を通して話をしてくれました。
会長が一生懸命息子達に語ってくれていた事も嬉しかったですが、
それをあの歳で息子達が真剣に聞いてくれていた事は更に嬉しかったです。
少しでも活かしてくれて、今後の彼らの人生の活力になればと思います。
私も久しぶりに子供の頃、あのように会長に色々教わった事を思い出しました。
私にとっても良い経験でした。
先週はそんな週でした。

Blog No. 411: “Teaching”
Hello everyone, this is the 411st episode of my blog.
The other day, I went to the gym in the morning and worked out.
After that, I went to a hamburger restaurant’s drive-through for the first time in a while.
The restaurant had recently opened near my house.
There were two lanes at the drive-through, which made it easy to order.
One car was already ordering, so instead of lining up behind it, I went to the next lane.
I waited, but no one took my order.
When the car next to me finished, the staff apologized and said, “Could you wait a little longer?”
I replied, “Sure.”
After placing my order and moving to the payment window, the staff came out again and said, “Please wait a moment.”
It took a little time before I received my food, but they apologized once more, and I was still able to leave in a good mood.
The shortage of staff may have been an issue,
but their timing and words left me with a good impression.
Last week, the chairman invited my family over for dinner.
He also said he wanted to teach his grandchildren many things.
He spoke about the founding of the company, the mindset of a manager, the importance of simple living, and being good with numbers-all through the thoughts and experiences he has cherished over the years.
I was happy to see the chairman so intently speaking to my sons,
but I was even happier to see my sons listening so intently at their age.
I hope they will make use of what they learn and use it as motivation in their future lives.
It had been a long time since I last remembered the many things the chairman taught me as a child.
It turned out to be a valuable experience for me as well.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
