みなさん、こんにちは
ブログ第４１３弾です。
先週、娘と会話をしていたら、最近、娘のお気に入りは松田聖子さんの赤いスイートピーだそうです。
朝、洗面台で合うと結構気にいっているようで
彼女も忙しいので、少しの時間でしたが昭和歌謡曲のテレビを一緒に見ました。
その時に思ったのが、普段当たり前と思っていることが当たり前で無くなることもあります。
その辺りを意識しながら家族仲良くしていきたいと思います。
さて、先週はベトナムに出張に行っていました。
初日は現地の銀行へ挨拶に行ってきました。
二日目はハイフォンに行き、色々と打ち合わせをしてきました。
まだまだお互いの良さを知るのに時間がかかりそうです。
ただ、お互いの気持ちは変わっていないので
引き続きどういった形で協業すれば良いのか考えていきたいと思います。
三日目は少し時間が空いたので
人材で協業させてもらっているMTLSベトナムの責任者の所へ行ってきました。
１時間くらいバインミーを食べながら会話をしてきました。
午後からは物流センターを何か所か回ってきました。
冷凍倉庫を見学しましたが
お客様が求めるレベルというものがはっきりと見えていないので
そういったことも勉強する必要があると思いました。
夕食は以前見せてもらった倉庫の会長さんと会食する機会をもらいました。
非常に魅力がある方で、事業家でもあり、投資家でもありました。
ベトナムはこれからまだまだ成長するから色々と教えてあげると言ってくれました。
初対面なのに有難い話です。
先週はそんな週でした。
また来週お会いしましょう。
Blog No. 413: “On Business Trip”
Hello everyone, this is the 413rd episode of my blog.
Last week, I was talking to my daughter, and she told me that her favorite song these days is Seiko Matsuda’s Akai Sweet Pea. She really enjoys listening to it in the bathroom in the morning. She was busy, but for a short while we watched a TV show featuring Showa-era pop songs together. It made me realize that things we take for granted aren’t so obvious. I’d like to keep that in mind as we continue working together as a family.
Last week, I also went on a business trip to Vietnam.
On the first day, I visited a local bank to introduce myself.
On the second day, I went to Haiphong for several meetings.
It seems it will take some time before we really get to know each other’s strengths.
But our feelings towards working together haven’t changed, so I’d like to keep thinking of how we can collaborate.
On the third day, I had some free time, so I visited the manager of MTLS Vietnam, with whom we work on human resources.
We spent about an hour talking over banh mi.
In the afternoon, I visited several logistics centers. I toured a cold storage warehouse, but I still wasn’t sure what level of quality customers were expecting. I realized that’s something I need to keep learning.
For dinner, I had the opportunity to meet with the chairman of the warehouse I had visited earlier.
He was warm and personable – a businessman and investor.
He told me that Vietnam still has a long way to go, and that he would teach me a lot.
It was a very kind and open conversation, especially considering it was our first meeting.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
