みなさん、こんにちは
ブログ第４２３弾です。
先日の朝、スポーツジムに行き、運動をしてきた後、車で帰ってきました。
いつもより駐車場が狭く感じました。
久しぶりに運転したからかなと思っていました。
家に入ると妻と娘がいて、その話を妻にしたら、娘が話に入ってきて、
家が大きくなったんじゃない？と言っていました。笑
今受験で大変な時期ですが、嫌な態度を見せる事もなく、我々の会話に入ってくるのは嬉しい事です。
また、ある時、家に帰ったら
下の息子から翌日早く家を出て部活に行かないといけないと言われました。
私は翌朝走る予定でしたので、私が息子を起こすことになりました。
起こしに行くといつもと違って、すぐに彼は起きました。
私は眠かったので、また寝ようかなと思いました。
しかし、息子が最近部活で上位に行くようになったらしく
モチベーションが上がった姿を見たので、改めて走ることにしました。
息子のお陰です。
先週はインターン生の子達とお昼に会食をしました。
約一年間の研修兼働きを終えて、翌週に帰国する予定です。
インターン生の子達は少々緊張していたようでしたが、食事は良く食べていました。
常に明るく接してくれる態度に、やはり東南アジアの勢いを感じました。
将来を聞くとまだわからないとの答えでしたが
中には日本で働きたいと言ってくれた子もいたので嬉しかったです。
冒頭の私のあいさつでは、我々もみなさんとの経験を通して、もっと改善し
成長し、みなさんにとって魅力ある業務をしていきたいと話をしました。
最後にはインターン生の子たちから一緒に写真を撮ろうと積極的に誘われました。
みんなで撮った写真もあれば、一対一で撮った写真もありました。
そういう積極的な態度を見て、少し良い会社に映ったのかなと思いました。
しかし、課題を見つけ今後ももっと魅力ある内容にして、入社を促すことができればと思います。
先週はそんな週でした。

No. 423: “ Interns”
Hello everyone, this is the 423rd episode of my blog.
The other morning, I went to the gym and drove home after my workout.
For some reason, the parking lot felt smaller than usual.
I thought maybe it was because it had been a while since I last drove.
When I entered the house, my wife and daughter were there, and when I mentioned it to my wife, my daughter joined in the conversation and said,
“Maybe our house is getting bigger?” lol
She’s currently going through a tough time with exams, but I was glad she joined our conversation without showing any annoyance.
Also, one day, when I got home, my youngest son told me he had to leave early the next morning for club activities.
I was planning to go running the next morning, so I ended up waking him up.
When I went to wake him , he woke up right away, unlike usual.
I was sleepy, so I thought I’d go back to sleep.
However, since he has been doing well in his club activities recently and seemed motivated, I decided to go running again.
It’s all thanks to my son.
Last week, I had lunch with the interns.
They will be returning to their home countries next week after completing about a year of training and work.
The interns seemed a little nervous, but they ate their meals well.
Their cheerful attitude, as always, felt like the bright energy of Southeast Asia.
When I asked them about their future goals, they said they weren’t sure yet, but some said they wanted to work in Japan, which made me happy.
In my opening remarks, I said that through our experiences with the interns, we hope to improve and grow, and make our work that more attractive to them.
At the end, the interns enthusiastically invited me to take photos with them.
Some were group shots, and some were one-on-one.
Seeing their positive attitude, I felt that maybe we were able to leave a slightly better impression of our company.
However, I also want to identify issues and make our work even more appealing in the future so that more interns will want to join us.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
