みなさん、こんにちは、ブログ第４３８弾です。
先週末、期末試験明けで、息子二人は友達と遊びにいくと言っていました。
妻と娘の夕飯を私が買ってくる予定でした。
そうしたらうちの会長と出かけて、一緒に夕飯も食べる事になったので、私が一人になってしまいました。
そこで、自分の分だけ買って家に帰ったら、下の息子が出かけようとしていました。
友達とご飯を食べに行こうとしていると私は思ったら、
疲れたので帰ってきて夕飯を買いに行こうとしたタイミングでした。
それならと言うことで、二人で食事に行きました。
余りない機会でしたので、すごく嬉しかったです。
息子からは、服装について褒めてくれたり、アドバイスをくれたりしました。
また、TicTokを見せてくれ、こう言ったヘアスタイルにした方が良いよとアドバイスをくれ、
ちょうど次の日に髪を切る予定でしたのでその動画をもらい、翌日髪を切りに行ってきました。
息子からのアドバイス、非常に良かったです。
翌日は妻が友人と出かけ、娘も居なかったので、息子二人と三人で食事に行きました。
上の息子は自転車で食事の場所まで来ました。
私と下の息子は電車でいきました。
食事中は上の息子が下の息子にいろいろとプライベートな事で相談をしていました。
その姿が可愛らしく見えました。
食事が終わったあと、下の息子は一緒に電車で帰るのかと思ったら
お兄ちゃんの自転車に合わせて走りながら帰りました。
正直、こんなに仲が良いとは思っていませんでした。
同じ学校に行っていることも理由としてあるのかも知れませんが、三人で会食をできて良かったです。
小さい頃は、結構厳しく育てたつもりでしたが、日々向き合っている妻の教育のお陰でしょう。
妻からはここまで育てたのだから、これから社会人としてあなたがしっかり教育してと言われました。
その通りだと思います。
しっかりと本人の意志を尊重しながらも
社会人の先輩として、良きアドバイザーになれるように頑張りたいと思います。
先週はそんな週でした。

Blog No. 438th “Parenting”
Hello everyone, this is the 438th episode of my blog.
Last weekend, after their final exams, my two sons went out to hang out with friends.
I was planning to buy dinner for my wife and daughter, but they ended up going out with the chairman and having dinner together, leaving me alone
I bought dinner just for myself and returned home,
but then I saw my youngest son getting ready to go out.
I thought he was going to eat dinner with his friends,
but he had just come home tired and was about to go buy dinner.
So, we decided to go out to eat together.
It’s a rare opportunity, and I was really happy.
My son complimented my outfit and gave me some style advice.
He even showed me a TikTok video and suggested a certain hairstyle for me.
Since I was planning to get a haircut the next day, I took the video and went to get my hair cut the next day. My son’s advice was very good.
The next day, my wife was out with a friend, and my daughter wasn away,
so the three of us – my two sons and I – went out to eat.
Our oldest son rode his bike to the restaurant, while the youngest son and I took the train.
During the meal, our oldest son consulted his younger brother about various personal matters, which was sweet to watch.
After the meal, I thought our youngest son would take the train home with me, but he ran home alongside his older brother’s bike.
To be honest, I never expected them to get along so well.
Maybe it’s because they go to the same school, but
I’m glad the three of us could have dinner together.
I thought I was pretty strict when they were little,
but I think it’s all thanks to the education my wife provides every day.
My wife told me that since she has raised them this well,
I should now take responsibility for educating them as a member of society.
I think she’s right.
While I respect their wishes, I will do my best to be a good advisor to them as a senior member of society.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
