先週は長い海外出張をしていました。
ベトナムのハノイからホーチミン、シンガポールと回っていました。
最初はハノイに行き、ある会社と事業提携を締結してきました。
ホーチミン、シンガポールの研修が決まっていたので、その研修に合わせて、ハノイに訪問しました。
気軽に行く予定でしたが、着くと相手の会社の会長さんのご自宅に招待して頂き
ディナーを堪能させて頂きました。
もっと頻繁にベトナムに来いと言われて
私からもっと積極的に親交を深めないといけないと思っています。
翌日は朝から現場を見学し、そのあと提携調印式を行いました。
ベトナムのTV局も取材しに来て、私はインタビューを受けました。
その後はプレゼンも行い、調印式を終了しました。
海外はかなり大々的に行うので圧倒されてしまいます。
この内容はまたホームページでご案内します。
その日にホーチミンへ移動しました。
ハノイと比べると暑かったです。
翌日にはみなさんと合流して、まずは物流会社さんの2センターを見学しました。
日本の倉庫と比べて、高さが非常に高いです。
フォークリフトがかなりの技術がいるのではと思いました。
三つ目は、日本の食品製造メーカーさんの工場を見学しました。
今年で３０年だそうです。
品質管理は日本式ですが、味の決定はベトナム式だそうです。
また、食べるスタイルもベトナムの人たちが譲らず、ベトナム式だそうです。
当然、ベトナムは物価が安いので、いかにコストを下げるのか、課題だそうです。
我々物流会社だと人件費がかなりを占めてしまうので、大変ですが
メーカーさんは工夫次第でコスト吸収力があるのだと思いました。
また、暑い国なのでフルーツを食べる習慣が多々ありますが
ベトナムの人たちは塩などを付けて食べるのが定着しているそうです。
大変勉強になりました。
その後はシンガポールに移動しました。
我々のシンガポールのサトユの現場の見学と直営店のミサカの見学をしました。
みなさんいろいろと質問をしてくれました。
私は翌日も残り、サトユでの定例会に参加して、
それこそベトナムの「塩でフルーツ」は合うのか協議しました。
今回のツアーでは、いろいろと勉強になりましたが
今回のツアーでも3回ランニングを行ったので、自分で洗濯をしました。
脱水は妻からビデオ通話で指導をもらいながら行いました。
さすが主婦ですね。
脱水はかなり効果があり、手洗いでも思った以上に濡れていませんでした。
先週はそんな週でした。

Blog No. 389th “Overseas business trip”

Last week, I was on a long overseas business trip.
I went from Hanoi, Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore.
First, I went to Hanoi, and signed a business partnership with a company.
I was scheduled for training in Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore, so I
I visited Hanoi in conjunction with that training.
It was supposed to be a casual visit, but when I arrived, I was invited to the home of the chairman of the company, and we enjoyed dinner together.
He asked me to come to Vietnam more often.
I think I need to be more proactive in deepening my friendship.
The next day, we visited the site in the morning.
After that, we had a signing ceremony for the partnership.
A Vietnamese TV station came to cover the event, and I was interviewed.
Afterward, I gave a presentation, and the signing ceremony was over.
Overseas, the ceremony is held on a much larger scale, so I was overwhelmed.

We moved to Ho Chi Minh City that day.
It was much hotter compared to Hanoi.
We met up with everyone the next day.
First, we visited two centers of a logistics company.
Compared to Japanese warehouses, the height is very high.
I thought that forklifts must be very skilled.
Third, we visited the factory of a Japanese food manufacturing company.
They have been in business for 30 years this year.
The quality control is Japanese style, but the taste is influenced by Vietnamese preferences.
Also, the Vietnamese people do not give up on their eating style -Vietnamaese style.,
Naturally, prices are low in Vietnam.
How can we reduce the cost?
For us, as a logistics company,
labor costs are a big part of the cost, so it’s not easy.
I thought that manufacturers have the ability to absorb costs through their ingenuity.

Also, it is a hot country, so it is often the custom to eat fruit.
Vietnamese people tend to eat fruits with salt and other seasonings.
It was a great learning experience for me.
After that, we moved to Singapore.
First, we visited the port, which is the second largest port in the world, and the scale of the port was quite large.
I heard that they are going to close it and move to a new place to turn it into a resort.
I thought the scale of what they are going to do is different.
After that, we visited Satoyu in Singapore and Misaka, which is a store directly managed by the company.
Everyone asked me many questions.
I stayed behind the next day to attend the regular meeting at Satoyu, where we discussed whether Vietnamese salt goes well with fruits.
I learned a lot on this tour.
I did three runs on this tour as well.
I did my own laundry and handled the dehydration with guidance from my wife via video call.
She is indeed a housewife.
The dehydration worked quite well.
I found that the clothes were not as wet as I expected, even when I washed them by hand.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
