みなさん、こんにちは
ブログ第４０６弾です。
４月から下の息子がテニス部に入部したのですが、
部員が多いらしく、中々コートで練習が出来ない状態のようでした。
うまい子も多く、うちの息子は小学校の時にテニススクールに通っていましたが、それ以来でした。
ある日、息子が帰ってきて、妻に話していました。
１ゲーム目は負けてしまったけど、その後、頑張って進み、
１６人までの枠らしいのですが、１８位だったようです。
本人は悔しさと達成感もあり、その日の出来事を熱弁していました。
私はその息子を見ているだけで嬉しく、良くやったなと言いました。
相手との比較も大事かもしれませんが、やはり、自分の中での達成感や充実感は非常に大事だと思います。
だからうちの息子もいつになく自己アピールが強かったような気がします。
どこでチャンスがあるかわかりませんが、楽しそうで良かったです。
先週はあるグループの会社のメンバーと会っていました。
新社長が誕生し、メンバーの様子も見ていましたが
新社長に対してリスペクトして、役職を間違えることもなく、また、みんなが喜んでいるようでした。
こういった雰囲気というのは、やはり培った歴史が大事だと思います。
私も少しでも近づけるように頑張りたいと思います。

Blog No. 406: “Opportunity”
Hello everyone, this is the 406th episode of my blog.
My younger son joined the tennis club in April, but it seems like there are a lot of members, so it’s hard for him to get practice time on the court.
There are a lot of skilled players. My son used to attend a tennis school when he was in elementary school, but it’s been a while since then.
One day, when my son came home, he told my wife that he lost the first game, but he kept trying his best and made it through. Apparently, there are 16 players, but he ended up in 18th place.
He was both frustrated and had a sense of accomplishment, and he talked passionately about what happened that day.
Just watching him made me happy, and I told him he did a good job.
Comparing yourself to others may be important, but I think it’s very important to have a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment within yourself.
That’s why I think my son was more self-promotional than usual.
I don’t know where the opportunity will come from, but I’m glad he looked like he was having fun.
Last week, I met with members of a company in a certain group.
A new company CEO was appointed, and I observed the members. They respected the new company CEO, addressed him with the correct title, and everyone seemed happy.
I believe that this kind of atmosphere is important because of the history that has been cultivated.
I will do my best to get as close to that as possible.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
