みなさんこんにちは
ブログ第４３４弾です。

先日の朝、洗面台で顔を洗っていたら
娘から私が一番肌が綺麗と家族のみんなに自慢しているんだと言っていました。
凄く可愛らしい発言を聞いて
今まで目標に向かっていた分、そのような事に力をいれてこなかったので、美意識が高まったのでしょう。

さて、今週は色眼鏡についてお話をしたいと思います。
みなさん誰しも、自分の色眼鏡を通して、物事を見ていると言われています。
経験であったり、興味がある内容だったりと、その枠を通して見ていることが大きいと思います。
私も今までのライフスタイルで物事を見てしまって、反省することも多々あります。
先週も冷蔵庫で探し物があったのですが、見つけられませんでした。
そうしたら、妻が冷蔵庫の一番上にあるよと教えてくれました。
私の方が妻より２０ｃｍくらい背が高いのですが、それでも一番上のモノが視野に入らず
妻の視野には入る。
その探し物は妻にとっては余り興味がないものです。
しかし、そのような事が起こる。
不思議ですよね
これは視野の問題でしょうか？
経験や興味であれば、妻に負けないはずですが、見つける事が出来なかった。
こう言った事も起こるんだと意識することが大事のような気がします。

Blog No. 434th “Biased Viewpoint”

Hello everyone, this is the 434th episode of my blog.

The other morning, while I was washing my face, my daughter told me that she had been bragging to the whole family that I have the best skin.
It was such a sweet thing to hear. Since I’ve been so focused on my goals until now that I haven’t paid much attention to things like skincare, but her comment has made me more conscious of my appearance.

This week, I’d like to talk about “colored glasses.”.
It is said that everyone sees the world through their own colored glasses.
I think that’s largely due to our past experiences and our personal interests.

I often catch myself looking at things only through the lens of my previous lifestyle, and I regret it.
For example、last week, I was looking for something in the fridge but I couldn’t find it.
Then my wife told me that it was on the top shelf. I’m about 20cm taller than my wife,
so the item should have been easily in my field of vision, but I didn’t see it—yet she did.
Even though the item wasn’t particularly interesting to her.
Still, situations like that occur.

It’s strange, isn’t it?
Is it a matter of perspective? If it’s about experience or interest, I shouldn’t have lost to my wife in that situation, but I still couldn’t find it. I feel it is important to be aware that these kinds of things happen.

This week was a week of these thoughts.
