皆さん、こんにちは
ブログ第３２９弾です。
去年の１１月にホームページでシンガポールの会社のM＆Aを報告させてもらいました。
それから数回、シンガポールの会社を訪れていますが
前回の時はこれから旧正月に入り、売りとしては最盛期を迎えます。
そんな時に、少しでもモチベーションを上げてもらいたいと
南日本でいう、正月手当くらいの金額を配布させてもらいました。
支給する前に、従業員５０人強の前で一言挨拶をさせてもらいました。
金額的には大した金額ではなかったので若干、皆さんの反応を気にしましたが
思いの外、喜んでくれました。
創業４０年の中で初めてのことらしいですが、よかったです。
国も違い、文化も違い人生も違う中で、何よりも大事なのは
時間と場の共有とよくブログの中でも社内の中でも話をさせて頂きましたが、
言語が違う分だけ余計にその事を感じます。
意思疎通が難しい分下手な鉄砲数撃ちゃ当たるではありませんが、
多くの時間を要することで少しずつ、分かち合えることが増えると思います。
そうした思いの中から、実は今回のブログ３２９弾から英語でも記載させて頂くことになりました。
私としては新たな挑戦です。
しかし、シンガポールの社員も南日本のホームページを見てもらった時に
少しでも南日本の考え方、私の考えていることを知ってもらう
頻繁に現地に行けない分だけ少しでも知ってもらえるようにしたいと思いました。
私のブログは３２９回目になりましたが、見て頂いている方の中には
『実はあのブログ、ゴーストライターが書いているんじゃないの？』
と言われたことがあります。
今回のように英語でも書くようにすると
『誰かに翻訳してもらっているんじゃないの？』
と言われそうですが、添削はしてもらうつもりですが、基本的には自分で英語で書きます。
しかし、自分の中で目標を決め、何回目のブログまでに添削を必要としないようにしたいと思います。
まだ宣言ではできませんが、そういったことで、これからブログは英語と日本語と両方で
発信したいと思いますので今後ともよろしくお願いします。
今週はこんな思いが出た週でした。

Blog #329: “A New Habit”
Hello everyone, this is the 329th episode of my blog.
Back in November last year, we reported on the M&A of a company in Singapore on our homepage.
Since then, I have visited the company in Singapore several times, but the last time I visited there it was the beginning of Chinese New Year, and the selling season was at its peak.
So, I wanted to raise the motivation of my teammates level a little bit and decided to give out an amount as we have the New Year’s allowance in Minami Nihon company.
Before handing out the allowance, I gave a short speech in front of over 50 employees.
It was not a large amount of money, so I was a little concerned about their reactions, but they were unexpectedly pleased. This is the first time in the 40 years of the company’s existence that this has happened, and it was good.
I have often said in my blog and within the company that the most important thing in different countries, cultures, and lives is to share time and space, and I feel this even more so because we speak different languages.
Although there are some communication difficulties due to language barriers, I believe by taking more time, we will gradually be able to communicate more with each other.
These thoughts have led me to write this blog in English, starting with the 329th edition. This is a new challenge for me. However, I wanted to make sure that the employees in Singapore would also be able to learn a little about Minami Nihon’s philosophy and my ideas when they check the Minami Nihon website, especially when it is only a few times a year I go to Singapore.
This is my 329th blog, and some people who have been reading it have said to me, “Actually, isn’t that blog written by a Ghostwriter?” When I write in English as I did this time, people might say, “Aren’t you going to have someone translate it for you??”
Well, I do plan to have it corrected, but basically, I will write it in English by myself. However, I have set a goal for myself, and hopefully, no corrections will be required after several blogs. That is not a declaration I can make yet, but with that said, I would like my blog to be available in both English and Japanese from now on, so please continue to support me in the future.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
