ブログ第３４０弾です。
先週も営業所周りをしていました。
ある営業所に行ったら、いつものようにいろんな会話をさせてもらいました。
その所長は気さくにいろんな話をしてくれました。
普段、一対一で話す機会はほとんどなかったので、いろんな話を聞けて良かったのです。
そろそろ時間も終了に近づいた時に、所長が何やらご自分の机の上から何かを持ってきてくれました。
それを見てみると、次の営業所とその次の営業所の合間が昼休憩だったので
その営業所の間にある昼食場所マップを手作りで作ってくれました。
地図上にオススメのレストランを表示してくれて、さらに営業開始時間も別紙に記載してくれました。
ご本人は
『土曜日なので、早めに行かないと混むので気をつけてください』と
助言をくれました。
気を使ってくれた内容が非常に嬉しかったので、その頂いた紙は今後も取っておこうと思いました。
物流業務はやはりそのようなホスピタリティが大事だと思います。
感動したと同時に勉強もさせてもらった気がします。
私も物流の人間として忘れないようにしていきたいと思います。
また、他の営業所では突然、管理者の方から『社長お話をいいですか？』と言われました。
今まで話をした事がない人でしたが、営業所での現状など、色々と課題を説明してくれました。
かなり勇気を出して話をしてくれたのだと思います。
今回の申し出は非常に良かったと思います。
やはり、現場に課題が埋もれていることを教えてくれました。
また、全社共通の課題でもあるとも思いました。
この場を借りて感謝申し上げます。
さて、今週は『近道と深み』の話をしたいと思います。
『近道』と言うのは、何をするにも自分が欲しい結果に対して、最短で結果を得たいという意味です。
みなさんもご存知の通り、ネット社会になって、なんでも情報が溢れていて
自分が欲しい情報に対して、なんでも得ることができます。
知識で言えばすぐに検索して情報を得ることができます。
また、トレーニングなど、ある程度、努力が必要な場合でも
どう最短でその望む結果に到達できるか非常に役に立ちます。
ある時、同じように調べていたら、イチロー選手が出ているYouTubeを見ました。
そうしたら、質問している方が
今の時代、ネット社会だから、なるべく効率よく欲しい結果に到達できるでしょう。と言ったら
イチロー選手は『到達できるかもしれないが深みがない』と言っていました。
私は当時はあまり理解できませんでしたが、
最近、英語の勉強で、自分が使用している教材が５周目に入ろうしています。
だいぶ効率がよくなって、１ヶ月で１周できるくらいになりました。
これくらい回すようになってきますと
色々とより自分の中で結果を得やすいように試行錯誤して、勉強方法を改善できるようになりました。
何ヶ月もかけて、同じ教材を回していくと自分のスタイルが確立されて、
これが『深み』なのだと改めて理解できるようになりました。
自分のモチベーションもかなり上がって勉強自体もかなり楽しいです。
ネットで調べて、表面的に理解してもやはり駄目なんですね。
恥ずかしいですが、この年になってようやく理解できました。
今週はそんな話でした。

Blog No. 340th “Shortcuts and Depth”
Hello everyone, this is the 340th episode of my blog.
I again went around our sales offices last week.
When I went to one of them, I had a variety of conversations as usual.
The manager talked to me a lot casually.
Since I usually do not have an opportunity to talk one to one, I was very happy to be able to talk to him a lot.
When the time approached to be over, he brought me something from his desk.
I saw it.
As there was a break time between the next office and the next office after, he made a handmade map of the lunch locations between the offices.
Moreover, he gave me the paper which the business time of each restaurant was written.
He said as it is crowded on Saturday, you need to take care of being able to go there early.
I thought I will store this paper, because I was very happy.
The logistic industry is very important to have such a hospitality.
I will remember it as a person of the logistic industry.
I went to another office, too.
A manager asked me if I have time to talk.
I have never talked to him.
He explained the situations of the site and a lot of issues.
I thought he talked to me bravely.
His offer was very good for us.
He taught me the problem is buried in the site.
I thought this is the common problem of our company.
I appreciate him talking to me.
Now, I want to talk about “shortcuts and depth”.
“Shortcuts” means that we want to get our result as soon as possible against our result which we hope for.
As you know, it has become an online society and a lot of information have been crowded.
We can get every information which we want to get.
Speaking of knowledge, we can browse immediately and get information.
In case we need to make efforts to some extent for example training and so on, it is very helpful for how we can achieve desired result soonest.
In those day, I was browsing like the same way.
I watched YouTube where Mr. Ichiro Suzuki appeared.
Questioner told him that we can achieve our desired goal efficiently because of an online society now.
Mr. Ichiro said we might be able to achieve it but there is not depth.
At that time I was not able to understand it a little.
However, I recently have made full use of my favorite English textbook for the fifth times.
Becoming efficiently, I have been able to complete one round in a month.
When I have made full use of this much, I have been able to improve how to study English through try and error.
When I have completed the same textbook many times in a lot of months, I was able to establish my own way of studying.
I was able to understand this is the depth again.
I am much more motivated and I enjoy studying a lot.
When you check something online, it is little good to understand something superficially.
At this age, I can finally understand.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
