みなさん、こんにちは
ブログ第４４５弾です。
先週、上の息子と二人で食事に行ってきました。
忙しいらしく、当初の時間では間に合わないと言われました。
私はあまり遅くなると疲れてしまうので早めをお願いしたら、それに合わせて来てくれました。
予定を調整してくれたみたいです。
家族全員の食事なら、合わせると思いますが、二人なら面倒だと思ってしまい、合わせないと思います。
優しい息子です。
また、別の日に下北沢でピラティスを受けていました。
終わったので駅まで歩いていたら、いきなり背後からトントンと肩を叩かれました。
こんなところで肩を叩かれる覚えはなかったのですが、振り返ると下の息子でした。
友達と遊びにきていたみたいでした。
お父さんこんな所で何していたの？と聞かれました。
若者の街だから驚いてしまったのでしょうね。
さて、先週はグループ会社の永年勤続表彰に招待され、行ってきました。
５年から最長３５年の方が表彰されるようです。
社長が挨拶した後、私も来賓として挨拶をしました。
名札や招待札など手作りもあって暖かい会になりました。
会の間に多くの方たちと会話をさせてもらいましたが
けっこう皆さん、ブログを見ているよと言ってくれました。
また、コロナ前にみんなで集まりがあった事を懐かしく会話をしました。
表彰者の中には新卒で入った子がいて、その子は主任という肩書がついていました。
南日本ではまだ新卒者の中で役職者になっている人がいないので、こちらも頑張らないといけませんね。
良い会に参加できて良かったです。
先週はそんな週でした。

Blog No. 445th “Long Service Award Ceremony”
Hello everyone, this is the 445th episode of my blog.
Last week, I went out to eat with my eldest son.
He seemed busy and said he wouldn’t make it at the original time.
I asked if we could meet earlier, as I get tired if it’s too late,
and he adjusted his schedule for me.
It seems he rearranged his plans.
If we were going out to eat as a family, I would adjust my schedule,
but if it were just the two of us, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way.
He’s such a kind son.
Also, on another day, I took a Pilates class in Shimokitazawa.
After the class, as I was walking to the station,
I suddenly felt someone tap me on the shoulder from behind.
I didn’t expect anyone to tap me on the shoulder in a place like that,
but when I turned around, it was my younger son.
It seemed he was out with friends.
He asked, “Dad, what are you doing here?”
I guess he was surprised because it’s an area popular with young people.
By the way, last week I was invited to the long-service awards ceremony at one of our group companies and attended it.
Those with 5 to 35 years of service were recognized. After the president gave his speech, I also gave a speech as a guest.
The handmade name tags and invitation cards made it a warm and welcoming gathering.
I had the opportunity to talk with many people during the event, and quite a few told me they read my blog.
We also reminisced about the times we all got together before the pandemic.
Among the award recipients, there was someone who had joined as a new graduate and had already become chief.
In our company, there are still no new graduates in management positions, so we need to work hard as well.
I’m glad I was able to participate in such a wonderful event.
This week was a week of these thoughts.
