みなさん、こんにちは
ブログ第４６０弾です。
先週、家に帰ると娘が一人でいました。
だいぶ雰囲気が変わっていて驚きました。
思わず、扉を閉めてしまいました。
娘は『ハロー』と陽気でした。
大学生になるとだんだんと変わってくるのですね。
部活で使う費用があり、少しお金が欲しいと言われて
財布を見たらたまたま現金が入っていなく、今は無いと財布の中を見せたら
『社長、しっかりしろ』と言われてしまいました。
陽気な娘です。
また、仮免の学科が受かったらしく、お父さんに勝ったと言われてしまいました。
さて、先週は初めて長岡の花火を見に行ってきました。
以前から有名とは聞いていたので楽しみにしていました。
新幹線も満席で、駅から会場もすごい人でした。
一緒に行った仲間と少しレストランで会話をして会場に向かいました。
やはり噂通り、素晴らしい花火でした。
有難いことに、素晴らしい席で鑑賞できました。
素晴らしい花火だけに終わるのも早く感じました。
しかし、終わってからが大変でした。
駅に行くまでに人が多く、なかなか進みませんでした。
新幹線のホームにつくと、またすごい人でした。
我々は最終電車でしたが、その前の新幹線に乗れない方が多かったようにみえました。
近くにいた外国人の方はどれに乗ったらよいか分からない様子で、結局、乗れなかったようでした。
我々も越後湯沢行きの最終電車に乗れないかもしれないと思いましたが、何とか乗ることができました。
後日、１２４名の方が帰りの電車に乗れなかったとニュースで見ました。
それだけ有名だと改めて思いました。
中々見られない、貴重な花火だという事ですね。
そう言った意味では本当に誘ってもらって良かったと思いました。
貴重な体験でした。

Blog No. 460 “Fireworks”
Hello everyone, this is the 460th episode of my blog.
Last week, when I got home, my daughter was there alone.
I was surprised by how much her appearance and atomosphere had changed.
Without thinking, I closed the door again.
My daughter cheerfully said, “Hello.”
I guess she’s gradually changing now that she’s in college.
She told me she needed a little money for her club activities,
but when I checked my wallet, I happened to have no cash on me. I showed her the inside of my wallet and said I didn’t have any right now,
and she laughed and said “Come on, Dad. You’re the president! Get your act together!”
She’s always so cheerful.
Also, it seems she passed the written test for her provisional driver’s license, and she told me, “I beat you, Dad.”
Anyway, last week I went to see the Nagaoka Fireworks for the first time.
I’d heard it was famous for a while, so I was really looking forward to it.
The Shinkansen was packed, and there were huge crowds from the station all the way to the venue.
I had a chat with the friends I went with at a restaurant before
headed to the venue.
Just as I’d heard the fireworks were spectacular.
And, we were lucky enough to have excellent seats.
Because the fireworks were so spectacular, it felt like they ended all too soon.
However, the real challenge began after the fireworks were over.
The crowds were so huge on the way to the station that we could barely move.
When we reached the Shinkansen platform, it was just crowded again.
We were on the last train, but it seemed like many people couldn’t get on the Shinkansen before ours
because it was bound for Tokyo.
A foreigner standing nearby didn’t know which train to take.
In the end, it looked like they couldn’t get on.
We also worried that we might not make it onto the last train bound for Echigo-Yuzawa,
but we somehow managed to get on.
The following day, I saw on the news that 124 people were unable to board.
It really made me realize just how famous the event is.
It proved that these are fireworks you don’t get to see very often.
In that sense, I was truly glad I was invited.
It was a precious experience.
This was such a memorable week.
