ブログ第４４６弾です。

先週は初穂に行ってきました。
初めて会うお客様とのゴルフでした。
朝、車で向かい、早くゴルフ場に着いたので、駐車場でオンライン英会話をしていました。
両親からどこに行っていたの？と聞かれて、オンライン英会話していたと言ったら
まだやってたの？と言われてしまいました。
頑張ります。

さて、先週は鹿児島に行っていました。
父の実家の墓参りと、友人の親族が酒蔵をオープンしたので見学に行ってきました。
体育館を改装して酒蔵を作られていました。
地域の方々は非常に注目している様子で
こう言った地域貢献、社会貢献がその地域を活性化させるのですね。
我々物流も社会貢献をしていると自負していますが、さらに頑張らないと、と思いました。

また、実は薩摩切子も見てきました。
シンガポールのメンバーに感謝の気持ちで記念に送ろうと思っていました。
最初はアメジストとか信心深い方々が好みそうなものも考えましたが
そう言ったものはたくさんお待ちでしょうし
日本のモノ、会長の出身地である鹿児島の伝統品が最適と思いました。
まだ買ってはいませんが、最有力として考えていきたいと思います。

Blog No. 446th “Kagoshima”

Hello everyone, this is the 446th episode of my blog.

Last week I went to Hatsuho.
It was a golf outing with a client I was meeting for the first time.
I drove there in the morning and arrived at the golf course early, so I did an online English lesson in the parking lot.
My parents asked me where I’d been, and when I told them I’d been doing online English lessons, they said, “You’re still doing that?”
I’ll keep trying.

Last week I also went to Kagoshima.
I visited my father’s family grave and went to see a sake brewery that a friend’s relative had opened.
They converted a gymnasium into a sake brewery.
The local people seemed very interested, and I realized that this kind of community and social contribution revitalizes the region.
We in logistics also pride ourselves on making a social contribution, but I felt we need to work even harder.

I also got to see some Satsuma Kiriko glass.
I was thinking of sending it to my Singapore team members as a memento and a token of my appreciation.
At first, I considered things like amethyst, which some people might like, but they probably have plenty of those, so, I thought a traditional Japanese item from Kagoshima, the chairman’s hometown, would be perfect.
I haven’t bought any yet, but I’m considering it as my top choice.

This week was a week of these thoughts.
